How to Choose Your Size Using HENAL's Garment Chart

A size label is a starting point. Before ordering from HENAL, open the size chart in the gallery of the exact product you have chosen. Read it alongside the available size options and the garment description, especially when a listing offers more than one style.

Start with what the chart measures

HENAL's current chart is labelled garment measurements, with all measurements in inches. It asks you to compare with a well-fitting similar garment and allows a variation of ±1 inch due to manual measurement. These figures describe the garment; they are not a body-size chart.

For example, the chart shown with the Mustard Floral Maternity Kurta & Palazzo Set lists size L with chest 40, waist 36, hip 42 and shoulder 13.5 inches. This is an example of reading one row, not a recommendation that everyone with a particular body measurement should choose L.

Compare with something that fits you now

Choose a similar garment you already find comfortable. A kurta is a more useful comparison for a kurta than a fitted T-shirt, and a woven top is a more useful comparison for a woven co-ord top than stretchy loungewear. Consider the silhouette as well as the size label.

Compare like-for-like measurements using the chart's units. If you are unsure where a measurement should be taken, or whether your own flat measurement is comparable to a chart entry, ask HENAL before using it. Do not compare a single flat width directly with a figure whose measurement method you have not confirmed.

Look across all the relevant columns rather than choosing from chest alone. Also read the stated garment length and sleeve style. Think about the room you prefer when sitting and moving, and avoid assuming that every woven garment will stretch.

Check both pieces of a set

For a two-piece outfit, check the top and the bottoms separately. The charts identified for the Mustard Floral kurta-palazzo set and the Beige Pintuck & Cutwork Co-ord Set cover the kurta or top and do not provide trouser measurements.

If waistband, hip, rise or trouser length is important to your decision and is not given, request those details for the exact style and size. A matching set does not automatically mean both pieces will fit the way you prefer.

Use only the sizes offered on the product

A general chart may show sizes beyond those listed for a particular design. Use the product's selector to see the sizes and style combinations you can order. On listings with separate Kurta and Gown choices, confirm the garment option before selecting the size.

If you fall between rows or are planning for a changing fit, avoid automatically moving up a size. Contact HENAL with the product link, your preferred size and the measurement question you need answered. Then browse maternity dresses or co-ord sets with the right chart beside you.
